12th Week of Canwest Summer Season
Canwest Programming Highlights:
It's a ho-hum week for Canwest missing out on the 18-49's Top 10. The News Hour and Wipeout were 7th and 9th respectively on A25-54. Wipeout inched up right across from last week averaging higher than projected. It's 10% higher on 18-49. The best demo was F25-54 surging up 77%. Sticking close to season-to-date the News Hour remained lower than the 5 benchmark A25-54. Big Brother was in Top 10 F25-54. Paving the way to another new season a repeat Prison Break attracted 20% more 18-49.
CanWest accounted for 10/10/11/8 of the Top 25 against key demos, A18-49, A25-54, F25-54 and A18-34.
Competitive Programming:
CTV dominated Top 10 mostly on repeat crime dramas. Ranked 8th Idol was the only fresh program. Abbreviated version of CBC News benefitted from the Olympics.
