Canwest's commitment to communities extends beyond Canada and into all of the countries where we operate, building a stronger world community. CanWest MediaWorks International - which includes Network TEN Australia, Eye Corp., Canwest Medya Turkey, and CanWest MediaWorks UK - is actively involved in supporting local charities and other worthy causes.

Australia

Network TEN and Eye Corp. recently reviewed their charity programs to ensure that supported causes were aligned with employees' views and values. Four national not-for-profit organizations were selected: Cure Cancer Australia, The Fred Hollows Foundation, Planet Ark and Camp Quality. In addition, individual stations and offices have numerous local partnerships of their own.

For the third consecutive year, TEN was the official telecast sponsor of the Australian Of the Year Awards. Other community events TEN sponsored includes the Chinese New Year Festival, Darling Harbour Jazz Festival, Multicultural Festival and the Australian Jamboree.

TEN supports not-for-profit organizations through community service announcements, sponsorship and involvement of network personalities and staff. Causes supported include Salvation Army, Leukemia Foundation, Melbourne City Mission, Variety Club, AIDS council and many others.

TEN also supports the arts, environmental causes and sport. TEN is the official sponsor and broadcaster of City to Surf, Australia's largest fun run.

Original 106FM in Southampton, England only signed on the air a little over one year ago, but the station is already actively involved with several local charity initiatives.
